Life Long Twins Baseball Fan:

The Metrodome

Contributed by Congressman Martin Olav Sabo

I’ve been a baseball fan all my life. I remember the excitement felt by Minnesotans and folks from across the region when the Minnesota Twins moved here from Washington, D.C. in 1960, which was also the year I ran in my first election. I’ve been an avid Twins fan ever since. In fact, last October, I was given the once in a lifetime opportunity to throw the ceremonial opening pitch at a Minnesota Twins game.

When I’m in Minnesota during baseball season, I like to attend as many games as I can. So, my favorite place to relax is watching a Twins game from about 30 rows up behind home plate. The next time you find yourself at a Twins game, come check out my favorite place and let’s cheer on the home team!
