My Second Home

Lake Calhoun in the summer would become like my second home. I was employed there the last three summers along with many of my friends. Just last summer I was promoted to boat girl! That didn’t mean more money, just that I got to lounge around in my swimsuit all day long and get paid.

I have so many different memories, from being thrown in the lake by other employees for practicing my cheers to getting kicked out of the lake for swimming off the dock. I learned what to do for fun on the cool summer evenings and found out who my good friends were.

To me there is no better place to be on a sunny summer day then at Lake Calhoun.
