Born: March 26, 1928 I was married and had eight kids: Two boys, six girls. Good kids, had to be good, because we were poor. They were pretty understanding. They never complained about it. When Id go out to workI had to workwell, they would have my work done at home for me. I worked from 11pm-7am at the foundry, 7-8:30am school patrol, 8:30-five minutes to 2 at the department store, back to school patrol till about 4 then go home again, rest some, sleep some, and start all over again at 11 oclock at night. Married life? Truthfully I didnt enjoy it. Because I didnt marry the right man. Well, the only thing good come out of it was my children. I thought I loved him when I married him. What made me change my mind? Oh the way he he treated me. Well, he just wasnt a very good man, he drank. The kids didnt know him very well, so they did like him. My parents didnt want me to marry him, but I was grown, so they couldnt do anything about it. I wish I had listened to them. Your parents are always right. At the time it may not seem like it, but they are always right. I think back, and I t My advice to you is to stay in school until you graduate, then go as far as you can. And always listen to your parents. Thats the best advice anybody can give anybody. My favorite place
Favorite Place: Como Park Conservatory Im a lover of flowers and people. Right there in that picture, I was happy. So many different kinds of blooms and flowers. It lets me know that God died for mankind because he makes the world so beautiful. I used to go out sometimes and night and steal flowers. Since I didnt have any from my yard, I had to go get somebody elses flowers and put them in my house. |
