Who I am…

Born: April 15, 1985
Birthplace: Puebla, Mexico
Came to the Twin Cities in 1996

“I was born in Puebla, Mexico, and came to the US when I was three.

“I like to play soccer and baseball. There are many good players now coming from Puerto Rico, Cuba, and Mexico. They all get good money because they’re good.

“I really like being going to the senior center, and I want to keep going after this job is done.”

My favorite place…

Favorite Place: Fishing on Lake Harriet

“My favorite place is when I go fishing. I forget about everything else and think about what I need to do to change my life. I like to go with my brother because we talk, fish, then we move to another place and we fish, fish, and fish.

“One day my brother had a fish on his hook, but the line started to break. He said, ‘Jump in the water so the fish won’t go.’ So I jumped in the water with my clothes on and my socks & shoes on. The water was so cold! I wrestled with the muskie and got it out of the water. Three days later, the fish went to my stomach.”
