Who I am…

Born: October 18, 1983
Birthplace: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Came to the Twin Cities in 1983

“I feel that there is too much emphasis put on communication through technology and through computers, and not so much personal communication like this—one-on-one talking. I think that that is more beneficial than through email.

“I like to be surrounded by all different ages and groups and all different ethnicities. I don’t want to be surrounded by just my age group. I feel like we are so selfish and that there is a lot to learn from old and young.

“I really love music. I think that it’s a great way to build understanding, and it’s a great way to make you feel better when you are down—somehow someone else knows what you are going through in a way. But i think that that the music today that gets recognition, the messages are so negative and meaningless. It’s just sex, drugs, alcohol, they are basically advertising for things that are not going to promote you in life. It’s really sad—does that bring happiness: money, cars, your beemers, drugs?”

My favorite place…

Favorite Place: Docks at Lake Harriet

“This is a place where I come to clear my mind and listen to my surroundings. It has given me clarity these past few years in times of utter confusion. With the wind and air that flow across the lake comes a unique sensation.

“Lake Harriet has a positive energy which brings back memories of the closest people in my life.”
